Thumbs up for one of the cleverest, funniest, and most infectious properties to hit TV in years. TWF is a hysterical live-action series of shorts (bouts, bios and special segments) that give a personality to one of the most well known play patterns in existence – thumb wrestling.

Launching in the UK in 2008, TWF went on to achieve incredible ratings on the BBC, who broadcast the show across BBC1, BBC2 and the CBBC channel. Five seasons of the show have now been delivered and licensed product across both toys and publishing are selling in huge numbers right across UK retail.

The show follows the exploits of two major forces in thumb wrestling as the evil Sinistras do battle against the Mighty Dexteras with heart- and fist-pounding action in each and every bout.

Each season features key wrestlers such as The Big Time and Senator Skull as well as introducing newcomers like Gary the Intern and, after a full wrestling season of exciting thumb-to-thumb action, the season culminates with the “best of the best” going at it as part of the single elimination, “Thumber Summer”.

Master toy licensee Sambro has developed an incredible range of licensed product including collectable thumb wrestling masks with 58 characters in the series, wrestling rings and a Royal Thumble toy pack. Publishing giant Random House have also joined the programme with their top-selling TWF Thumb-book not only performing well in the UK but also going into the top ten sellers for comedy books in US Book Clubs where it is distributed by Scholastic.

Additional opportunities are under discussion in the US, where the show is broadcast by Cartoon Network, France, South Africa, Benelux and Australia/New Zealand.
